The Government of Canada is merging department and agency websites into one unified website: www.Canada.ca. This will include the Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) site. The idea is to make it easier to find and access government information and services using any type of device including computers, tablets and smart phones. Current registration and log-in information for your CRA account is expected to be valid in the new website.
“Departments are individually responsible for becoming compliant with the new Canada.ca website. The resources required for each department and agency to (come) on-board to Canada.ca will vary according to each institution’s unique circumstances,” said Evelyne Wildgoose Labrie, a spokeswoman for Employment and Social Development Canada. All departments have until December 2017 to switch over to the new Canada.ca website.
